"Abortion clinics remain open today, dismembering and sucking children with beating hearts from their mother's womb," she wrote. "2,363 children will lose their lives today. This continues to be our nation's greatest crisis, yet so many of us are numb to it. It's our 'normal.'"

The cancellation was one of eight arenas who told Graham that he was no longer welcome.

The evangelist subsequently launched legal action to get the decision overturned.

In a letter published in the Scottish Herald, leaders from mainly Pentecostal and independent churches, said the cancellation was an attack on all believers who share traditional biblical beliefs about sin.

"Are you not comfortable with the current pontiff? If someone does not like this pope, say it, because he is free to choose other ways," Bassetti told the Italian Catholic Press Union, lashing out at journalists unfavorable to the current papal regime.

The cardinal then apologized for his outburst but insisted that "everyone's goal must be to seek answers for the good of the Church and humanity."

Dr. Alex Allinson, a general practitioner, has recently asked Tynwald court, the legislature of the Isle of Man, to support a law change to allow "voluntary assisted dying," a euphemism intended to assuage critics.

Allinson said if the initial reception of his motion is favorable, he will introduce a private member's bill later in the year. He has asked for "an open debate" to "flesh out" political opinions.
