CANADA: Former SOMA leader Resign Orders

CANADA: Former SOMA leader Resign Orders

Open Letter to the Archbishops and Bishops of the Anglican Church of Canada.

Dear Primate, Archbishops and Bishops:

I have been a member of the Anglican Church of Canada all my life and it has been nearly thirty-four years since I was ordained Priest in St. Paul's Cathedral, London, Ontario.

I have tried to faithfully serve the Lord Jesus and the church in which I have experienced so many wonderful things of God. As I reflect upon my life as a Christian, it was through Anglican ministry that I came to know Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour.

It was also through my Anglican colleagues that I have been encouraged and challenged the most. And it was with my Anglican friends that I experienced the fullness of the Holy Spirit and His empowerment for ministry.

It is with great sadness, therefore, that I no longer find room within the Anglican Church of Canada and feel that I have no option but to relinquish my orders immediately.

Compromise has been prevalent in the Anglican Church of Canada for decades, but at no time has it been more obvious than during the last fifteen years, when the church's leadership has demonstrated a greater interest in appeasing society with its special interest groups than maintaining the faith once delivered.

Even with numerous warnings and attempts at corrective measures, the ACC continues towards its spiritual, moral and numerical decline; and the exodus has just begun.

It is gaining momentum and the ACC will continue to lose members with increasing rapidity, unless there is repentance and a return to a solid Biblical foundation. Perhaps the arrogant, liberal leadership mistakenly thinks it's business as usual. The truth is that the 'business' is heading towards bankruptcy.

Yours faithfully,

in Christ,

The Rev'd Fred H. Carson
SOMA Canada National Director
