About 40 people gathered to discuss the church's uncertain future, one clouded with possibilities of merger with the more affluent St. Andrews Church, located on Catlin Street. The next meeting of the two churches' merger exploration committees will be on July 14 at 7 p.m. at St. Andrews Episcopal Church. There was some confusion on the part of vestry members as to what options were available to them.

The candidate is usually selected from amongst the Archbishops of the metropolitan cities.

Equal numbers of clergy and laity, eight out of ten, believe in the bodily resurrection of Christ but more laity than clergy believe in the Virgin Birth - 62 per cent compared with 60 per cent - and in the miracle where Jesus turned water into wine - 65 per cent compared with 61 per cent. The biggest division comes over the issue of homosexuality. One third of clergy are in favour of the ordination of practising homosexuals as priests, compared with one quarter of laity.
