Ordaining Women as Deacons: A Reappraisal of the Anglican Mission in America's Policy.

The Rev. J. S.S. Patterson has recently written a paper discussing the issues which surround the Anglican Mission in America's decision to ordain women to the deaconate but not to the priesthood. The paper's thesis articulates the position of the clergy of St. John's, an Anglican Mission in America parish.

--The Rev. Jason S. Patterson is the Assistant Rector of St. John's Anglican Church in Huntington Valley, Pennsylvania. He holds an M.A.R from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He was ordained to the priesthood in November 2004, making him the newest addition to the clergy at St. Johns.
