January 11 2007 By virtueonline Bigotry or Obedience? The Media and the Episcopal Church - by Chuck Colson

On Christmas Day, for example, the New York Times ran a front-page attack on Anglican Bishop Peter Akinola. Bishop Akinola is a Nigerian bishop under whom many former Episcopal churches are now uniting. The Times made its agenda clear in the article's subhead, which referred to Bishop Akinola as "an anti-gay Nigerian."

January 10 2007 By virtueonline On Moral Relativism and the Episcopal Church - by Ricky Trippe

How could Paine, or any man of profound thought, conceive of such a war? Such a basic, fundamental concept, how could it be questioned? Men of his time were profoundly religious. There was no question of God in their minds. How could there be? When one is involved in such a great undertaking as they were, one simply cannot question their faith.

It is a lovely church that welcomes people of all denominations, or no denomination in my case. It is a church that sends folks to build houses in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, that recently broke ground on a community building in urban, Southeast D.C. for ministry there, that brings children from other countries to America for complex cardiac surgeries they can't get at home, that sends missionaries beyond its walls, and that serves thousands of people within them.

January 03 2007 By virtueonline Surprise! Washington Post misrepresents truth - by Les Kinsolving

How could the Post also publish - without any apparent editor's checking for accuracy - columnist Meyerson's claim that "[Nigerian Archbishop Peter] Akinola's agenda so touched the hearts of the Northern Virginia faithful that they anointed him, rather than Jeferts Schori, as their bishop"?
