Hopkins said that the issues that came to him regarding Bennison's brother, (John) shed light -- not a very good light on his (Charles') judgment.

In his memorandum, Sauls, who is a licensed attorney and chairs the "Task Force on Property Disputes", said the actions of Jefferts Schori were "procedurally appropriate" in consenting to the depositions of the two bishops. The House's Parliamentarian rules were followed, he said.

Sauls cites the evolution of the canon in his 12-page brief saying the HOB followed fair and lawful procedure.
